Go slow, you tell yourself as the island awakens with the warmth of the sunrise, a gentle Caribbean breeze brushing past your face. It moves first, slowly. You follow. You sink your feet into the sand as you head to The Split, salt settling on your skin as the infamous Lizard Juice loosens your hips and lips, and strangers start to feel like friends before you even learn their names.

Afternoons are for food and laughter, and before you know it you are stumbling into a local restaurant with your new friends, where late lunches turn loudly into shots and happy hour. Time slips. Plans disappear.

Between pours, you find yourself wandering sandy streets and heading toward Stingray Beach, ending up in the shallows as stingrays glide past while the sun sets over the Caribbean Sea. Faces feel familiar. The island slows.
